Our philosophy
We give comprehensive design services across architecture, interiors, master planning and styling — guided by a single belief that good design is intelligence made visible.
Our methodology is utilitarian: each space is shaped by the purpose it is created for. We work across hospitality, residential, commercial, retail and institutional sectors, pairing functional rigour with a quiet, crafted sensibility — to sculpt environments that inspire the soul.
The name Karyae is a derivation of the Sanskrit karya— work — with Karyae meaning “at work.” It is a fitting emblem for a studio defined by its practice: always building, always in motion.

A registered member of the Council of Architecture with nearly two decades of practice, Priya leads architectural design, planning and hospitality and residential interiors. She founded Karyae in 2021 after building her craft across leading studios.

Senior Associate Architect
Leading from the Chennai studio, Kavitha brings over a decade across retail, healthcare, residential and hospitality work, with a particular eye for innovative materials and concepts.
Associate Interior Designer
Based in Bengaluru, Pooja specialises in hospitality interiors — star hotels, luxury condominiums and restaurants — and is known for meticulous detailing and project management.
How we work
We begin with the brief, the site and the purpose — understanding how the space needs to perform before a single line is drawn.
Concepts are tested against function, context and budget, then developed into a clear, buildable design direction.
Drawings, materials and specifications are resolved to the joint — the stage where considered spaces are won or lost.
We coordinate on site and style to completion, holding the line on quality and deadline through to handover.
We follow a utilitarian methodology — each space is guided by the purpose it is created for, never decoration for its own sake.
